Bhagavad Gita Chapter 17 Verse 24 (17.24)

तस्मादोमित्युदाहृत्य यज्ञदानतपःक्रियाः । प्रवर्तन्ते विधानोक्ताः सततं ब्रह्मवादिनाम् | | १७-२४ | |

tasmādomityudāhṛitya yajñadānatapaḥkriyāḥ pravartante vidhānoktāḥ satataṁ brahmavādinām

तस्मात् (tasmat) — इसलिए(therefore)

English: So all acts of worship, gifts and disciplines, prescribed by the scriptures, are always begun by those who understand the Spirit with the word Om.

Therefore, followers of scriptural truths always begin their acts of sacrifice, charity, and penance with the utterance of 'Om'.
